About the Film

LEXO is a reflection of a rising movement of puppeteers; LEXO is a Trinidad and Tobago based film production company that primarily creates innovative puppet film shorts that reflect the diversity of the Caribbean Diaspora.  LEXO celebrates the food culture and life styles of the Caribbean people.  LEXO Films starring cutesy puppets are typically light-hearted, good-natured family themed entertainment. Leave it to these West Indian Puppets to bring nothing but excitement to the big screen. Lust, infidelity, and murder-for-hire are just a few of the many vices that peppered the plot of Lexo’s TV’s first movie.

Throughout the film, we encounter the most inspiring people, ideas, and initiatives happening around the country right now.  From the Growing music to the actual everyday slangs and cliché’ the I Am Santana Movie is a sensation.

LEXO tells the stories of real people, connecting audiences not with facts and figures or apocalyptic policy analysis, but with examples of personal initiative and concrete ways to engage in a new style comedy sketch.

The Theme song for the movie is done by none other than 13 year old Canadian artiste Jeronique aka MiMi with her first release Soca Muppet Puppet, Mimi is a child star with powerful overtones, born Mary Lynn of parents with West Indian background mother from Trinidad and father from Jamaica.  MiMi began her career in her early childhood as she has been singing since she was four years old.  Mimi possesses an amazing vocal range, and in this song sings about and with the puppet Santana himself.  She sings about senseless acts of violence and discord and even murder.  The message about love and unity are strong points of the track. Produced by Gmaster Garette Greenidge, Executive producer Ian Pantin in studios of Dainjamental Julien Brooklyn, and Shal Marshal, the theme song in itself is a joyful piece.

Capturing on film the same magic that audiences love, don’t miss it I am Santana the movie.” Premier Screening at Caribbean Tales Film Festival, Friday, September 14, 2012, 9:15pm Studio Theatre York Quay Ctr,  235 Queens Quay West, Toronto Ontario.
