POPULAR CARIBBEAN MEDIA HOUSE CELEBRATES 7 YEARS WITH
WEB RELAUNCH AND NEW MUSIC SERIES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 17, 2013
HARTFORD, CT – Caribbean News and Music Entertainment website DancehallSoca.com celebrates 7 years on the net this month with a brand new enhanced web experience and a music series entitled Soca Fusion to celebrate the blended category of the two most popular genres of music currently coming out of the Caribbean; Dancehall (reggae) and Soca. The brainchild of Jamaican born Caribbean Lifestyle Media C.E.O. Orlando a.k.a. “Mr. DancehallSoca”, DancehallSoca.com has been a destination for Caribbean music enthusiasts from around the world to stay up to date on Caribbean music, events and artists.
“The concept of DancehallSoca has been around for a long time, you hear it in your events, music, and fusion of Caribbean music.” – Orlando, DancehallSoca.com
The re-launch of the DancehallSoca.com website includes a 5-song playlist which reflects a recent agreement with iTunes where the DancehallSoca.com team chooses the songs that are hot for the week and have them available for sale on the site, an archive of Caribbean music videos, and Social Media that is integrated for maximum exposure of Caribbean distributed content. This enhancement offers web visitors a more engaging musical experience. The improved website also includes original programming including a Saturday afternoon radio show on Busy Radio 103.3 FM from noon to 3 p.m. featuring DJ Ace of popular Connecticut soundcrew The Soca Senators, which can be heard on your mobile device using the Tune In app (search: Busy RADIO), videos of celebrity guests, and an all-new online web series called Soca Senators Uncut.
In reaching this 7-year milestone, DancehallSoca.com is also celebrating a two year anniversary of a joint social venture with Soca Senators’ DJ Ace known as Fantastic First Fridays which takes place the first Friday of every month at The West Indian Social Club, 3340 Main St Hartford, CT.
“I am happy to see a premium event in Hartford, CT go for so long and we hope to continue as long as the patrons continue to support Fantastic First Friday.” – DJ ACE, King Apocalypse Sound Crew & CEO of Soca Senators
Topping off the anniversary celebrations is the launch of a collaborative music series entitled Soca Fusion mixed by DJ Mr. Xcitement unveiling May 18th. This mix expands upon Xcitement’s ability to captivate an audience with versatility and variety. He is dubbed the “quintessential Music Man.” For Soca Fusion, songs were picked that would represent music lovers and also introduce those outside of the Caribbean to a different flavor.
In addition to visiting the official website, DancehallSoca can be found on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
