SOCA MUSIC’S “PROBLEM CHILD” TO FILM VIDEO FOR LATEST TWIST ON BLACK FOLK LINE AND CALL-OUT DANCE TRACK IN TORONTO 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 29, 2013 – TORONTO, ON –  Soca’s resident bad boy, Problem Child known for high-energy Soca hits like Party Animal and Party Hard, puts his twist on Black folk line dancing made popular by deejay instructional songs such as “The Cha-Cha Slide” by DJ Casper of Chicago by issuing his own set of instructions on the 2013 Toronto Carnival release “Do As I Say”.   Recorded on the Evacuation riddim produced by Troy Logan of Toronto, ON, this track was mixed by DJ BLUE of Martinique and mastered by MadMen Productions.   A video shoot will be held on Saturday July 27th at a pre-Carnival dance party called B.R.E.A.K. at On the Rox nightclub located at 1600 Steeles Ave. (north of Dufferin)  in Vaughan, ON.   The presenting team of Dress To Fete invites all soca-lovers to be a part of the video shoot by attending this star-studded pre-Carnival fete with music provided by 12 of the most recognized DJs and Soundcrews in Toronto.

ABOUT PROBLEM CHILD

Problem Child, born Johnny Fontainne on the island of St. Vincent grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he was heavily influenced by hip-hop culture.  His rebellious persona is a perfect marriage of his Caribbean and American cultures and he is regarded as a highly unique artist within the Soca community.  His 2007 smash “Party Animal” received top honours at his native Vincy Mas Carnival for Road March of the Year.   He has worked with a number of top artists including Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons and Ravi B.
